Customized Experience

At TrustedTransfer, we're not trying to be all things to all people. We aim to fill a very specific niche: to serve CPAs and their clients. We don't think you should have to settle for a service that requires additional time, labor, and explanation, only to find that it falls short of meeting the unique needs of you and your clients. We think it should be designed with you in mind, and anticipate your needs.

Multiple Security Roles

TrustedTransfer currently offers three distinct security roles. Our goal is to balance granular control with the ability to get work done quickly and easily. The first person to register a new business/firm with TrustedTransfer is created in an administrative role. That person can then create/disable: additional administrators, standard business users (access to all of the clients that firm supports), and clients. Drag & Drop File Uploads

If you have a modern browser - which we encourage for numerous reasons, including increased security - we offer a Windows-like experience to upload files. Simply select the client you wish to have in focus, the folder where you'd like to upload the file(s), and drag the files to the "drop zone." While you can't currently upload entire folder structures like this, it does make multiple file uploads a breeze. Supported browsers include: Internet Explorer 9 (partial support), Internet Explorer 10, Firefox 3.5+, Chrome 4.0+, Safari 3.1+, Opera 12.0+.

If you don't have a browser that supports Drag & Drop functionality, please consider updating your browser. But, if you can't, our application gracefully degrades to support the widely supported ability to select and upload individual files.

Branded Area For Clients

While we're proud of TrustedTransfer.net, our goal is to improve how customers value your business and service, not promote ours. To that end, we try to make our service as "white-label" as we can - and we're constantly trying to improve and add more customization capabilities. When your client logs-in to TrustedTransfer, the archive screen will display your business' name and contact information prominently.

If you demand even more seamless integration with your current website, we also offer a "framed" version of our site that will load our tabbed functionality within a content frame on one of your pages (you can even have your regular header and footer). If this interests you, please contact us to discuss options and so that we can share the small amount of code you will need to implement this option.

Branding is an area we plan to continuously improve, so please send us your thoughts and ideas of how you'd like to customize our service to your clients.

Secure File Transmission

At TrustedTransfer.net, we understand the confidential nature of the documents you will be storing and exchanging through our service. In fact, we hope it is one of the reasons you have chosen to use this service. Regular email is not a good medium to use when sharing confidential information and documents. While total security is essentially impossible - or at least really, really expensive - we take all the precautions to make sure that confidential information stays confidential.

SSL Client-Server Security

Secure Socket Layer is a protocol standard that encrypts digital traffic between a client (i.e. your browser) and a server (i.e. our server that runs TrustedTransfer.net and stores files). TrustedTransfer forces an HTTPS connection, which utilizes SSL, whenever you use our site. Your browser should confirm this fact by displaying a padlock or other information indicating an encrypted connection when you are on our site.

SSL encryption doesn't mean that everything is encrypted all the time, but it does guarantee that your password is encrypted when you log in, and that all of the information that travels between your browser and our server (including files) is encrypted.

Detailed Change Logs

For your benefit and ours, we log almost everything that happens at TrustedTransfer.net. Many of these logs are available to you when you log into the archive screen. We log every log-in, every password reset request, every folder and file change - you get the idea. From the "Logs" tab within the archive area you can sort and filter logs to find exactly what you need. 

Two-Factor Authentication

While we won't give away all of the secrets we have to protect authentication activities on TrustedTranfer.net, we will explain how two-factor authentication works. It's completely optional, but whenever a user registers his or her account with us, we offer the option of entering a phone number (must be capable of receiving a text message). If entered, we will send a sort code to that phone number whenever that client tries to reset a password.  Since we don't store your password, the only way to reset your password is to send you a link to re-create one. If two-factor authentication is enabled for your account, you must have access to your email account and supply the sort code we texted to you in order to reset your password. It's not fool-proof, but it adds an additional layer of protection between a hacked email account and access to files.

A Voice

As we've said elsewhere, improving the user experience you are able to provide to your clients is one of our top priorities. To that end, our goal is to incorporate new ideas and improve our user experience wherever possible. We aren't a large company, but we have 10+ years of experience in the fields of technology and accounting, and access to experts in other fields when needed. In many ways, our size is our advantage. We can keep our expenses low, we can react quickly to changes in accounting and technology fields, and we can react quickly to feedback provided by our users. Please utilize the "Feedback & Support" button on the left side of the site. We can't promise we'll be able to make every change or new feature you suggest, but we'll do our best to make make our users happy and improve the experience our website provides.

Knowledge Base

On the left side of most pages on the website, there is a "Feedback & Support" button visible. When clicked, you can view informational articles we've written, frequently asked questions, and industry-related information that we think might be relevant to our service. You are always welcome to contact us with questions, but we're big fans of immediate self-service. We don't want to make you wait for our response whenever possible. 

New Services & Functionality

Continually improving the user experience of TrustedTransfer.net is one of our top priorities. While we have time and monetary limits - not to mention, some peoples' ideas conflict with other peoples' ideas - we will do our best to add and improve features wherever possible. If you have an idea that you think will improve user interaction with the site, please take the time to submit a suggestion by using the "Feedback & Support" tool available on each page. Even if you don't have a new idea, please take the time to browse other peoples' ideas and vote for those that you think would be the most valuable. This service isn't meant to have one-way communication, we view it as a collaboration and appreciate your input.
